Pitcher Card

Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted here.  Let's just chalk it up to life getting in the way ;)  I recently received some Unity Stamps in the mail for winning a contest there and when I saw the Friends with Flair challenge on their blog, I decided to enter it.  They are also having a huge sale this weekend and believe me, I ordered more of these cute stamps!

Here's my card:

The embossed background was already there as the cards were from a pack I purchased at Hobby Lobby.  I cut out some of the hexagons and put patterned paper behind them.  I stamped the heart on patterned paper and cut it out and placed it on the pitcher.  Lastly, I put some glitter glue on the heart on the pitcher and the hearts on the sentiment.  Thanks for looking!

Sketches: Creatively Yours - 4-13

I played along again with the ladies at Sketches: Creatively Yours.  This was our sketch:

and this was our inspiration picture:

We were challenged to mix texture and patterns.

Here is the page I came up with:

credits: kit - Joker by M.D.K. Scraps, alpha - Mama's Boy by BellaGypsy, woven paper template by Betsy Tuma, font - KG Love Me Through It

I used the inspiration photo and I did some weaving on my page.  It looks like it was complicated but I used a ready made template by Betsy Tuma and I just dropped my papers in :)  Isn't PSE lovely?  I also have a wire star and several patterned papers on my page.  Thanks for looking!

Bonkers!!!

I'm playing along again with Sketches: Creatively Yours.  This time we had the following for our sketch and inspiration photo:

It seemed to be fate, that I found the following kit by Joyful Expressions.  These were the perfect colors for the inspiration photo!

I took my kids to a place called Bonkers over their Spring Break.  They had fun & they got to burn off some energy!  And, bonus, I got to shop in a town with scrappy stores when we were done :)

Picking Peaches

I made this LO for Ali's sketch challenge over at Sketches: Creatively Yours.  If you want to join in for a chance to win an awesome stamp set you have a few more hours to finish up.  Here's the sketch we were asked to use:

We were also asked to use the following for inspiration.  I used the flowers in the lamp and the rectangle lamp shade for the blue sparkling soda piece.

Love Lives Here

I did this LO for my September challenge at Sisterhood of Scrap.  My challenge to the girls was to use colored pencils and a bit of plaid on their projects.  I added the twine because it just needed that extra something on the page.  There is also a twine challenge going on at Scrapfit.  I think I used plenty of twine to qualify :-)  Thanks for looking!

Chillaxin'

We are celebrating the Olympics over at Sisterhood of Scrap.  The challenge I gave the girls was based on the weightlifting event.  The challenge was to use a 4x4 piece of paper and a 10x2 strip of paper.  You also had to have all of the "weight" in you LO on one side or in one spot.

The following pages were based on Kelly's Olympic challenges.  This first one was for Rythmic Gymnastics.  We had to use a little or a lot of pink, bling and ribbon.

This one was for Kelly's swimming challenge.  You had to use water, people, bling and blue.

This one was for Kelly's Equestrian challenge.  We had to use 3 patterned papers, an animal and something popped up.

Zucchini baby

I made this digital page for summer school at Sisterhood of Scrap.  It's not too late to register for school if you're feeling the need to get your craft on :-)

For this challenge, we had to use ABC's and 123's and a sketch from Sketch Support.  On this page I have:
A - angled photo
B - baby photo
C - carrot sticker
1 - 1 plant stake
2 - zig zag stiches
3 - veggie stickers

I used a kit by Ellie Lash called "In the Garden"  Thanks for looking!

Whew, it's been awhile...

To say it's been awhile since I've updated my blog is an understatement.  LOL!  I guess I've just been lazy over the last few months.  Here are a few recent scrapbook pages and cards I've completed:

These LO's and cards were for the LIFE game we are playing at the Sisterhood.  Come check us out if you get the chance.  We're a super nice bunch of gals :-)

Who knew...

I made this layout for one of Sisterhood of Scrap's January challenges. There are 12 this month so if you are feeling the need to be challenged - join us! This challenge was to use chocolate covered paper in honor of Willy Wonka's trademark being registered on Jan. 4, 1972.

I used a template from No Reimer Reason. Papers & embellishments are from various kits: Rough Riders from Sandy Kreiger (Two peas), No Reimer Reason Sweet Child, Shabby Princess Harvest Spice, Plentiful & Shabby Fall, Meredith Cardall Scrapping Simply Cabana Summer, Brandy Buffington Holiday Party (2peas)
Rhonna Farrer These are the days. My fonts are Pea Jazz Skinny, Purple Boxers & Pea Annalee Script. Whew! I hope I covered everything :-)

Did you know that Nov. 3rd was Sandwich day? One of the Nov. challenges at Sisterhood of Scrap was to create a layout with a "slice" of kraft & one of your favorite toppings. I used kraft & yellow for mustard. Thanks for stopping by!

Goodbye AZ

I made this page for the current Shabby Princess Template Challenge. Be sure you check it out so you can join in! If you haven't tried digital scrapping it really is as easy as dropping your papers & clipping them to the shapes. Shabby Princess has done all the amazing work for you! I also entered this in Sisterhood of Scrap's Nov. challenges. This was for "Banana Pudding Month" so our LO had to be mainly yellow. If you are lacking in inspiration this month, SOS would be a wonderful place to find it! We currently have 10 challenges going as well as loads of wonderful LO's to look through. Thanks for stopping by!

Baby bath time

I did this layout for a couple of different challenges. Crop Suey's monthly challenge was to scrap about yourself. I used a couple of my baby pictures I found. The other challenge was at Sisterhood of Scrap from Lois & it was to use chipboard on your page. I used chipboard frames and a tag at the bottom. The tags were originally white glitter & I colored them with my colorbox queue. I used the lavender-ish color. Thanks for looking!

It's my day to do Challenge Monday over at Sisterhood of Scrap. My challenge for the ladies today was to use my sketch and to have at least 4 different patterned papers on their LO's. If you feel inspired too use my sketch, please share! I'd love to see it! Thanks for looking & happy scrapping!
