GIU Day 4

Evening Unity friends!  Tonight's card took me awhile because I just didn't like how things were turning out.  I was using distress inks and my paper was too watery and the ink just kept spreading.  So I worked on it until I liked it.  Sometimes that happens - am I right?  ;)  I used the kit Brave Spirit.  I painted a light color of distress inks on some watercolor paper and then I stamped with the darker color (not as watered down) on top of my paper.  I added some sequins and washi tape and called it done before I decided I didn't like it and needed to change something.  Lol.  Thanks for stopping by & don't forget to comment!

GIU Day 3

Welcome to day 3!  I'm sorry for the late post; it's just a side effect of having teenagers that are involved in activities. :)  For today's card, I tried to challenge myself.  I closed my eyes and grabbed 2 bags from my grab bag box.  Then I set my timer for 10 min.  I didn't quite make the time limit I set for myself.  I had to set it again for 10 min. and then I just quit trying.  Lol.  All in all, it took me maybe 30 min. to make this card.  You can see the kits I used below.  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to comment!

GIU Day 2

Welcome back for day 2 of my Growing in Unity Day!  Today I made a masculine card.  I don't know about you, but these cards do not come easily for me.  Thankfully, Unity has several masculine stamps to choose from.  Today I used the set, Simply Vintage.  While this set doesn't scream masculine, I feel like it could be used for those types of cards.  I inked the edges and used a bit of washi tape to finish it off.  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to comment so I can put your name into the drawing for some awesome stamps!

GIU Day 1

Welcome Unity friends!  I'm so excited to be a Growing in Unity girl for this week!  Here's my card for today.  I used the stamp Drew Girl.  I colored a bit on the edges with Prismacolor  colored pencils and then I used some Gamsol to blend the color out from the edges.  I used some washi tape, bling and I inked the edges to finish the card off.  Thanks for stopping by & don't forget to leave me a comment.  At the end of the week, I'll be picking 2 people to win some Unity!
