Holy bugs!

This page was made for the current contest at the Mix It Up! blog. You were to use these colors as inspiration and they provided this sketch as well. I took everything pretty literally. These pictures were perfect to cut small squares from. I really like the story behind this page. The journaling says: "The tradition started when I brought home a cardboard mouse as a kid. The mouse would find its way to various places in the house. Now my kids enjoy hiding all kinds of bugs for Grandpa. He enjoys returning the favor! 7-28-09" When we visited Grandma & Grandpa last month we specially packed some "bugs" in our carry-ons for the exact purpose of hiding them under Grandpa's pillow. When my kids woke up Tues. morning, this is what Grandpa had waiting for them. Every time we turned around there was another "animal" waiting for us. And to think it all started with me & a cardboard mouse when I was 8! Such a fun family tradition to remember! Thanks for looking!
