Celebrating Mothers Blog Hop

At JMS the DT love our moms and to show our appreciation for everything mothers do we are celebrating mothers in our blog hop this week. The hop officially kicks off at 9 am (NFLD time zone), and ends at Midnight (NFLD time zone). Here is the sketch and my take on it. I used the song "A Mother's Prayer" by Celine Dion. The journaling is just a copy of the lyrics. The only thing I changed was the use of the word "she" in the lyrics to "them."

Kiss the Girl

It's time for another reveal at Just My Sketches! This time I used the song "Kiss the Girl" by Keith Urban. I also used a picture from my wedding album so it's very loosely on the page. I couldn't seem to find any good pictures of Andrew & me from our wedding. They were all too dark or too grainy. Sorry about the picture quality. Bad day

It's time for another reveal at Just My Sketches! This time I used the the song Bad Day by Daniel Powter. As the journaling says, I don't really remember why Josh was so upset. I just know he was mad about something! I remember at the time I thought his face was so hilarious I snapped a picture (probably also to keep myself from getting mad too!) We were at Disneyland so there could've been a million reasons why he was mad. Probably the long lines! Sweet Child

No Surprise

It's time for another reveal at Just My Sketches. This time I chose the song "No Surprise" by Chris Daughtry. I also took the sketch and flipped it so I could use these pictures. I took them when we were back visiting Illinois for Christmas. The girls had a day out on Monday and we went to the new chipmunks movie. Hannah and Madison (cousins) were hilarious in the theater. The dryers in the bathroom cracked them up because they were loud and very strong. They had such a blast at the movie. We couldn't find 5 chairs together so they got to be big girls and sit in front of my mom, me and my sister. It was so much fun! Today is...

February 1st and the layouts and cards are up at Just My Sketches. If you haven't checked them out make sure you do - there are a bunch of amazing layouts and cards. Here is the page I made for the sketch. I was inspired by the song "Blessed" by Elton John. The lyrics mainly inspired me because they talked about "not knowing the color of your eyes" but knowing you would be blessed. So I used more ultrasound pics from Baby #3. I wrote out the lyrics and put them on the hidden journaling slipped behind the striped paper.

Design Team

A few weeks ago, I applied for a design team spot on Deanne's blog: Just My Sketches. I found out a couple days ago that I got a spot on the layout team along with 7 other ladies. In addition to a layout team there's also a card sketch team. I'm so excited mainly because this is the first time I've applied for a design team. I'm also excited to work with the other design team members. Sketches are posted on the 1st and 15th so be sure to go and check it out!
