The contest at Scrapping out Loud! this week was to use split complementary colors. The color wheel link they provided was really cool to use. I forced myself to use the backside from this scrapbook page because I have a thing about double-sided paper. I feel like I am wasting it if I cut into it or use only one side of it. Maybe that's why I have so much paper sitting around! This page also satisfied the Sisterhood of Scrap challenge a couple of weeks ago which was to make a layout with 2 different sizes of photos. I tried to match the colors as best I could. Enjoy!

Project 365: Week 9
Well, I have a lot of catching up to do so here we go!
Day 58 Mar. 1
Day 59 Mar. 2
Day 60 Mar. 3
This is Josh's homework that we got done EARLY!! He had to write a couple of sentences using the -ox family. So he wrote" I got a fox. He had chicin (chicken) pox."
I thought his fox and the chicken pox in the picture was funny.
Day 61 Mar. 4
I curled my hair for this day. I liked it but nobody else seemed to notice. Oh well, I did it for me not them!
Day 62 Mar. 5
We had family literacy Night at the kids school and one of the things they had was karaoke. This is Hannah and her friend singing karaoke. Of course they sang "Best of Both Worlds" by Hannah Montana.
Day 63 Mar. 6
Day 58 Mar. 1
I think I had the date wrong at the end of last week because we went to my in-laws on Sun. not Sat. Oh well, here's another picture of that day. William showing off his basketball skills :-)
Day 59 Mar. 2

Day 63 Mar. 6
Can't find my picture for today. I thought I took a picture of the four computers that Brian and Andrew had set up on our kitchen counter but I can't find it.
Day 64 Mar. 7
We went to the park and Hannah's dog got stuck in the tree. Don't worry, we got it down.
Day 65 Mar. 8
No picture for today either, or it's been so long that I don't remember what picture I took for today!!!Day 64 Mar. 7

Friends
This is a layout for Scrapping Out Loud's weekly challenge. This challenge used a line from the song "That's What Friends Are For" by Dionne Warwick. I used their sketch of the week and also the word of the week (Embrace) on my layout. You can't see it very well but the scalloped piece of paper between to two smaller pictures says Embrace on it. Enjoy!

Never change
Under the wire again! Here is a page for Scrapping out Loud's! weekly challenge. My mom is visiting and she help me finish this layout just in time! She also helped me gather the ribbon. It was my first time trying this technique and it took two of us. I got the idea from Kristina Werner from the card she made here. Enjoy!

Want some crafty candy?
I was blurfing (no I'm not sick - it's short for blog surfing) on Saturday instead of cleaning my house for when my parents come and I found some blogs that are giving away some candy. Sonia's is open till April 1st, as well as Caryn's, and Maria's is open until the 23rd.
Here is a picture of Susie's blog candy and hers is open until the 21st:
And here is a picture of Shannon's candy that ends on the 17th (hurry!)
Check them out!

Believe
This is my scrapbook page for Scrapping Out Loud! - and it's on time too! My kids actually took three of these pictures and then I had them printed as wallets. They print 2 on a 4x6 sheet. The challenge was to scrap about yourself. This was the first time I've scrapped pictures about just me. Anyway, enjoy!

My week in a random list:
Here is my week in no particular order:
1. I curled my hair 3 days in a row, which is not normal for me, and no one (except my husband & my boss) noticed or said anything. Usually I just let my hair air dry and it's boring but I actually got my act together and took my shower the night before so I could curl it in the morning.
2. I tried on some clothes at Target and the jeans I tried on were too big. Woo-hoo!
3. I finally started Probability with my students and the AIMS pressure has started to lift - sort of.
4. We got Internet back at our school and I am no longer deprived during the day.
5. We finished our "Walk On" challenge from Blue Cross Blue Shield at school and walked over 1100 miles all together.
6. We went to Family Literacy Night at the kids' school and we saw a strange Cat in the Hat costume, had our faces painted, did a cake walk, and watched Hannah sing karaoke with her friend.
7. We had roast and mashed potatoes for the 2nd time in 2 weeks and it was good!
8. Josh and I got his homework done on Tues. night - 2 days before it was due!!!
9. Andrew's friend, Brian, came for a visit today and is staying for a couple of days.
10. I had pizza for lunch today and for dinner tonight.
11. I argued with my brother about American Idol and he was right - I was wrong, but, it got him to call me!

Double duty ... sort of
Well, I made this scrapbook page for a contest on Scrapping out LOUD! and then when I went to the site tonight, I found out that it had to be submitted by 9 pm. Oh well, that's what I get for waiting till last minute like always. Then I also realized this page would work for Sisterhood of Scrap's challenge. So, I hope you enjoy the page. This is loosely based on Pagemaps last contest but I just couldn't finish this page when the contest was running. I think my mojo is hiding :-)
